(no subject)

Man, the rain is coming down in sheets out there. The last thing I want to do is go take the bus to take my Brit Lit final. Preferably, I'd like something warm that involves drinking large amounts of tea and watching Doctor Who. But it's not to be, I fear. Mom was going to ask her boss if she could leave early today, that way she could drive me in to college...and then we can go shopping later. Oh, the horror, the horror! (What? Conrad didn't have Christmas shopping in mind when he said that?)

DAY OF THE DUCK

So, that package I was talking about before? A week or so ago, I ordered a "mystery box" from Archie McPhee (most awesome store ever) , which basically means that they send you a bunch of stuff that they're discontinuing, or can't sell, or somesuch, and you end up with some incredibly strange things from a store that normally sells very strange things.

So, this is what I opened today:

Very poor quality picture. But, on the left there is a mini bowling bag with a cowboy on it, and to the right top is one of many products I received in the Parasite Pals line...basically, based on cartoon characters of head lice and tapeworms and such. It's really surprisingly cute. I think I got just about everything including erasers, notepads, and  a little bento box with the cartoon bodily parasites on it. I don't know whether to shake my head or laugh. That thing on the bottom left? That's where the awesome is.

It's a gigantic bathtub duck. With devil horns. It's a devil duck. A gigantic devil duck. And upon digging through the box, I discovered that I had not one, but TWO of these things.

Also...anyone on the Flist interested in a sometime-after-Christmas random gifting of small but perplexing things? Maybe you'd like a Parasite Pals notepad and eraser set? They are truly odd. If so, message me your address and I'll get something to ya. =)
