Thanks to those who replied to my last post. I'm feeling a bit better, I think. Possibly. The first Hermits United meeting will be held in two years' time at my cave. You are all invited.
I found the disk for my Microsoft Office suite, so I think that's one crisis averted. Now I just need to find my California ID so that I canget the good booze get in the door at the concert I'm going to later this month...and to confirm my citizenship and age should I actually get called in for one of those jobs.
Also, I'm slightly panicky about being called for an interview. GDI I HATE TALKING ON THE PHONE.
...Oh, you say the job involves talking on the phone constantly every day? Oops.
Re-watched The Road to El Dorado this morning. I love that movie. Kevin Kline and Kenneth Branagh voice the main roles and it's absolutely lovely. They are the cheerier, animated, less inclined to endless puns version of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, I swear. So, new mood theme courtesy of
poisonedwriter! Despite the hilarity of having a Vulcan mood theme, I was getting a bit tired of it.
Oh, and I didn't sleep last night.

on 2009-10-02 08:30 pm (UTC)I'll be holding you to that, you realize.
Oh, El Dorado. How I love that movie so so much. Did you know that in the original script, Miguel and Tulio referred to one another using pet names like "darling" and "sweetheart"? But they had to cut those out because it was too gay or something for a kids movie. But in some countries the subtitles on the DVD are based off of the original script, so they're still in there. xD

on 2009-10-07 10:52 pm (UTC)Phone interviews are the worst. In person interviews are torture, but phone interviews require that I actually use a phone. Gah!
I'm going to add Road to El Dorado to my b'buster list, it's been way too long. :)
